I have a Chinese boyfriend and I am a Filipina. We've been together for almost 8 months now. And I know I'm taking all the risk in this relationship.
I've been with him for 3 months here in the Philippines. and 5 months through E-mail communication. I reach him through sending some text messages and calling him, so he'll feel good in doing his work.
I know he's too busy at his work that he can't even give me a phone call. Too many excuses, but yet I'm still trying to understand him.
I know it's not easy to have a long distance relationship.
I know he loves me, but he doesn't know how to express it. I don't know how Chinese guys express their love to their non-Chinese girlfriends.
I want to know your opinion about having my relationship with him. Is he cheating on me or am I just paranoid?
Victoria's Answer:
Hi Gabs,
To be frank, I don't think your boyfriend loves you as much as you think.
Even if he is the CEO of a multi-national corporation, he would still find time to call his girlfriend. The difference is that he wouldn't call his girlfriend as often as other normal guys do.
You could try not to call him and see how he responds. Give it a week or two and see what he does. Send me your feedback, and we can see what to do next.
Best regards,
