UK Telford Chinese School, Telford, UK

Telford Chinese School’s mission is to promote Chinese Culture, promote cohesion amongst different communities and to challenge racism by providing various cultural activities, events and language services.

In 1994, Dr. Xiaoying Tseng established the UK Telford Chinese School. It is a non profit, non-political and non-religious organisation. It is also a registered charity.

Cultural activities form a major part of The Telford Chinese School.

Telford Chinese school meets at Telford campus in Priorslee Sundays during school term time.

Sunday school has both Chinese language lessons and Chinese activities class. Our students include children from the age of four to eighteen and adults from different ethnic backgrounds. Telford Chinese school offer an Adult Mandarin Conversation class.

Activity classes include:

• Kungfu
• Chinese folk dance
• Chinese instruments
• Taichi

Teachers in the Telford Chinese Schools are highly trained professionals. They dedicate themselves to their specialized areas of teaching. Most of them have advanced degrees and share a common interest in giving our children the best education possible in subjects related to Chinese culture.

Volunteers also run courses on other dates at different venues. For example, Adult Taichi class every Monday in Dawley.

Telford Chinese school also offers language translation and interpreting for local government and business.
