Does the year 2011 apply to all Rabbits?

Does the year 2011 apply to all Rabbits?

I was reading the articles about the year of the Rabbits and Chinese Astrology. It was interesting reading! I have a question regarding Rabbits. Does the year 2011 apply to all Rabbits or just to the Fire Rabbits? The I reason I ask is because I am a Water Rabbit.

When is the first day of the Chinese New Year?

Sincerely,
Eric

Victoria's Answer:

Hi Eric,

The first day of Chinese New Year in 2011, is February 3rd.

On the Solar calendar the first day of a new year is always January 1st. But on the Chinese Lunar Calendar, it differs every year.

Although 2011 is a Gold Rabbit year, it applies to all Rabbits and not just to the Gold Rabbits only.

Regards,

Victoria

Year of the Metal Rabbit
by: Lena Arvola

I'm looking forward to 2012, when the year of the water rabbit returns. In my research, I'm finding that 2011 is the year of the metal rabbit. The rabbit yin yang graphic above is my design. It is available for purchase on t-shirts and sweatshirts at cafepress.com/ontask

Thanks for noticing the error. It's now correct - we apologize for letting that slip by.
