A group of Chinese parents founded the WeiHwa Chinese School in 1974 as a non-profit educational institution. Why? Because these Chinese parents didn't want their children to forget their mother tongue.
Over the years, WeiHwa Chinese School has thrived and is now one of the oldest and largest Chinese language schools in the greater Washington area.
